As a third year medical student at McGill University in Montreal, I requested to do my urban family medicine clerkship rotation at the Canadian Medical Center in June 2010 for 4 weeks. Fortunately, the Center accepted me as an intern and I spent my time there with a dedicated team of general practitioners, specialists and other therapists. As expected, along with the GPs, I took histories, did physical examinations and provided treatment to a variety of patients. However, I also had the opportunity to work with specialists and to learn about physiotherapy and osteopathy, which I knew very little about. My experience at CMC exceeded my expectations mostly because of the dedication, friendliness and willingness to help that all of the staff members exhibited towards me, but most importantly towards the patients.

We would like to mention our appreciation to CMC’s pediatric department. In the past couple of weeks we had to take our son to your clinic several times. The first time was when he had a home accident, and I rushed him to CMC without a prior appointment. The treatment we got from the reception, nurses, and the pediatrician was superb. CMC’s physician took care of our son few times more since this incident. At all times she was not only gentle to my baby, but also very attentive and patient to the parents. Being far from our home country is harder with a sick child and having a CMC pediatrician makes all the difference.
